Central Astoria LDC hosts multiple movie nights throughout the summer. These movies take place on Monday nights at Astoria Park’s Great Lawn beginning at sundown. The movies are displayed on a large inflatable screen. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets or chairs to sit on and snacks and coolers. The movies are weather dependent, and will be cancelled in the event of rain or storms. In 2024, we showed the following movies:

July 29: Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

August 5: Barbie.

August 12: Black Panther Wakanda Forever.

August 19: Migration.

Past movies have included The Lion King, Super Mario Brothers, Elvis, A League of Their Own, Willy Wonka, Star Wars, West Side Story, Encanto, and more.
